What Watch Are You Wearing Today?

Today in the garden it was my Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical. No pics as usual from me 'cos I's crap at 'em but it looks like this with a nice seatbelt khaki coloured NATO from Vario (great straps!):

It's a great watch but I'm lusting after a Timefactors Smiths PRS29-A. It's conveniently smaller at 36mm, has a better WR of 100m, anti-reflective coating (which has never been a problem on the Hamilton), proper anti-magnetic cage, higher beat rate of 28800bph but lower power reserve than the Hamilton which has the new H50 movement with an 80 hour reserve. The crown is bigger on the Hammy which makes hand-winding duties that bit easier. However, the Smiths is less cluttered and better looking to my eye which loves all things British and vintage. Money though, eh? It always stands between a man and his materialistic wants...

In the end, I'll probably stick with the excellent Khaki Field Mechanical but that roving eye!

Right, I took a picture but it's nae the best and what a ruddy faff! Precista PRS-3 Diver on Seat belt Bond NATO:

My toughest watch watch bar none - 300m WR, ETA 25 jewel shock protected automatic movement, 3mm thick AR sapphire crystal. Came of my MTB twice with this beastie on and the first time was a bit sair. Thought I might have broke a rib or two but all seemed well 2 or 3 weeks later. Anyhoo, the watch got dragged face first across a short tarmac section of path and although there are one or two minor marks on the stainless steel, the sapphire crystal is spotelss. Aye, I don't dive but I wanted a watch that was as 'Gairdner' proof as possible - so far so good...

I'll nae be giving up retirement for photography anytime soon!

No connection but you can see this £340 bargain on Timefactors here:

You sir, must be an absolute first class husband for that is truly gorgeous! It is just as well prescriptions are free in Scotland or I would be sending you bill for whatever I'm going to need to soothe the sores that excess salivation has caused. Meanwhile, I have punished myself with 1000 lines, "Thou shalt not covet another man's wif...I mean watch!"

As if more proof were needed that I'm the forum's worst photographer, here goes:

Timefactors Smiths PRS-29A on brown Darlena Pittards glove leather strap. A handwinder just like the original Smiths W10 it pays homage to. Oh and this took me around half an hour to work out/remember how to upload to Flickr (Fuckr) then rotate it and finally pop it into this post on dear old TSR. Man, am I ever the luddite!

P.S. it looks fabulous on its grey NATO strap but I do like a bit of leather (ooer, missus).

P.P.S. I want your watch @isaiah53 !

P.P.P.S. but you can keep your EDIT: fiance, my very dear sir, lovely though I am sure she is...

Just had a senior moment there, had to check that my own 1953 RAF Omega was on my wrist. Very nice looking watch G.
