Free shaving cream

Hi all, before you get too excited this is something that i've made myself, i made a test batch and i've still ended up with enough to last me a year at least!

So what's in it, it's a tallow based shaving cream (sorry veggies), with all the usual, shea, coconut, macadamia oils and the only essential oils i had left were cinnamon and orange so it smells a bit Christmassy, so if you have any allergic reactions to any of the above then i accept no responsibility.

I'm a little short on tubs at the moment so if anyone does want some then i may have to post it in plastic bags.

Let me know if anyone is interested.

This is not a commercial venture btw, just a hobby, i'd love to hear any feed back though.

Thanks.

Also interested.

Is it a cream or a soap (or a croap)

I'm going for cream, it's probably a little softer than Proraso which i see as a croap but use as a cream.

Just PM me your address, may be next week at some point but i'll keep this thread updated.

Hi Bazz. Do you have a recipe or link to website. I quite fancy having a bash at home made shaving cream. Thanks, Jimmy

It's my own recipe mate, do you have soap making supplies in stock? it's not particularly difficult but if you haven't made soap before it's worth reading up on lye safety and the general process's as it can look quite daunting. I'll PM you the ingredients.

This sounds very interesting, I'd be up for giving it a whirl, thanks mate!

Hi bazz I have made coconut soap before. Melted a blender in the process. :(. It turned out ok. It was soapy and got the muck off me.
Appreciate the recipe. See if I can bugger up another blender, cheers. Jimmy

Thanks for all your replies, i'm going to close this for the time being until i've cleared the back log, hope to post them out next week at some, just need to finish my bathroom off! I will no doubt have some other samples of soaps, croaps and creams as time goes on.

All the samples were posted today so should be with you in a couple of days. No obligation but it would be good to hear any feed back that you may have, good or bad. Thanks.
