With my second lather with the Fat, I can further appreciate why it's held with such high regard. It actually reminds me a little of Valobra, a similar lather and very good post shave feel but I'd say I prefer the Fat so far.

A bit of a weird shave though, the blade seemed to go right in the middle of the second pass. One moment it was fine, next it was blunt. Being the tough kind of guy I am I made it through to the third pass. Ok, not tough in the slightest bit, lazy is a better description.

Anyway chaps, have a good Friday. The weekend is almost here. I don't know about anyone else but it's one of those weeks that just dragged on and on, all the better it's now Friday.....

Nice close shave with the Merkur, i almost sold it because the first shave was a bad one after i bought it. Now with a bit more DE shaving experience no idea what i was going on about, such a fine razor!
With all the rain and thunder&lightning going on, i went for a warmer soap scent, so Tabac it was. The DS cosmetic performed great (as ever) even with soaping my face and then brushing it into a foam (i have only the shaving stick). On holiday in Germany i have to look for the rest of the stuff, the soap tub and, if there is any, an Eau de toilette and an Aftershave Balm.
Off to hospital, sigh, another tedious visit i bet, as i expect this one also has not read any of my information, and i get the urge to scream having to explain everything a zillion times. Ah well, that's life ;-)

My sympathies, as have been in the same stable myself with my wife. Hope she can get back on shortly.

Thank you Arthur. A few years ago the same horse rolled against a leg and broke it. The hospital missed it until she had a scan 6 weeks later. In the meantime we had gone touring on the motorcycle with her on pillion. and not too many complaints (no more than usual). She is made of strong stuff......after all she married me! Give her a few days and she will be back on the saddle.
