A new hanging strop...my first, I have two paddle strops which have and still do perform well...but I thought I would try a hanger :)

Well the strop arrived today, was very slightly grubby at the handle end...but thought it was just from it being newly made...anyway, there was dirt too at the top of the stroke and the bottom...worse!!! I noticed a small 3mm nick with a perfect straight line cut very very slightly into the strop too, that was at the bottom of the stroke...so it is going back, dont need that crap from a £30 strop, got it off Amazon so hope they have a good support for customers...the actual company is ukstarling or something...not a happy bunny.

Amazon are very good at accepting returns so no worries there but I can see why you are not happy! P.

Im more dissapointed tbh, I waited quite long for it, but obviously someone has had it and marked it and returned it...it looks mostly new...I reckon whoever...has been a noob and just jumped in too deep and hit it on first few strokes, the nick/cut is below the line where I was stropping and I was lucky to see it, I showed my Mrs...and it was her who noticed the line across the strop...I only seen the nick which was quite dirty when it "opened" .Because the damage is below MY strop line, I could have got away with it...but why should I :-$
