UK meteorology

I'll ask him from you!;)

Here, the past couple of days have seen our area, which has experienced broadly below-average rain for over a year now some much-needed precipitation. In my local area, we're at 4 mm below the average monthly rainfall for June already this early in the month.

Anyway, here is Malcolm's post for this morning:
Thank you Chris, :) P.

Malcolm says that the rest of summer is above his pay grade, but give it ten days and it should have improved. For those of us further east, the improvement should be underway by the weekend.

Malcolm hasn't posted his usual comments for a couple of days, but the consensus sems to be that the weather in the south and east will improve by the second half of the weekend, albeit with a possible showery period midweek, but perhaps taking until later next week for improvment to make it further north and west. Late June could well be mostly dry and warm, hot in the south and east, though whether this will last further into July at the moment is far from obvious.
