Vec, Nero,RR4.jpg

Pre shave Prep: Pears Original Transparent
Brush: Razorock 400
Soap: OSP Neroli
Blade: Kai Captain Pink (6)
Razor: Blackland Vector
Post shave: Alum Block, cold water splash, homemade Witch Hazel
Balm: Bayliss & Harding
Aftershave: CK One

The Vector is my favourite razor at present. She just delivers every time.
I put the Captain Kai "Pink" back in to try it as the first shave with it was not the best. The blade already had 5 shaves under it belt - no problems whatsoever. A very smooth 2 pass shave with a little touch up giving a BBS finish.
The Neroli OSP soap & RR400 lathering up a scented delight.
The balm i used was a gift from a while ago so i thought i would give it a try. It does what it is supposed to and a Splash of CK One.
I feel comfortable, clean and refreshed, what's not to like?
I will have to force myself not to use her everyday as no other razor would get a look in.
Have a great day all

Today's shave:

rdt190520xekg0.jpg

- Stirling Tuscany
- Semogue Owners Club Badger
- Parker Variant (2/2/2) with Feather blade
- Tüff sensitiv aftershave

:)

I can't help but notice that this soap is rather different from the same version I bought four years ago. The soap base has obviously changed (yellow instead of red), and the scent as well - this one is weaker, and shows a prominent sweetness the older one didn't have. It's still good, but nevertheless it's a pity. I enjoyed the old one very much. Luckily, I still have some left.

'A lumpy bumpy shave' was the theme given to this day's time spent by the sink with a razor.

Lumpy - Ikon SB with an ATT Colossus handle
Bumpy - The usual Polish made blade
Grumpy - Cade shaving cream
Numpty - Cade aftershave balm

Cade. A name derived from an Old English nickname for someone who was lumpy and rotund. I am not sure what a lumpy person might look like, but they must be similar to myself so I'll go for that one.

Alternatively.

A Cade is the perfect guy. A smooth operator and every girl likes him

Definitely not me as apparently I have too many lumpy bits.

So today I find myself back at my father's place in Market Weighton, birth place of Britain's tallest ever man the giant William Bradley. It also happens to have wonderful water for shaving and something I always look forward to when visiting. This evening was no let down.

I often include L'Occitane Cade aftershave balm in to my shaves as quite simply it is the best balm I have come across for my skin. However I rarely reach for the shaving cream, but tonight saw it come out of hiding and yet another great product I too often overlook. Lovely in every sense of the word and an absolute gem. I don't reach far enough in to the 'shaving store' when choosing a soap or a cream and considering I am not short of long arms (?) I need to use them to better effect. Too many nice items sit out of view.

With the brilliant Razorock brush a super shaving medium to pass blade. On this ocassions my usual 'love it to death' Ikon SB with its usual partner in crime blade the Polsilver Lodz. Why change a good thing?

End result being a 'lumpy bumpy free shave' and nothing short of brilliant (other than my arms by all means). As smooth as a Cade and I am going to take a walk and see of it is true what they say about the girls.

Happy shaving chaps and I leave you with The Pixies from the wonderfully talented Kim Deal days

Brush - Omega S-Brush
Pre - Proraso Green
Razor - Titan
Blade - Astra SP (1)
Soap - Proraso Green
ASB - Proraso Green

A travel shave as I'm working away for the next two nights.

This shave originally started with the Baili Tech clone but I gave up on that razor after the first pass - the second poor shave with it. Fortunately I had this Titan razor which was a drunken AliExpress order in April. Turns out it's quite an ok razor. Not the closest shave but I've come to two conclusions tonight - 1) travel sized toiletries are a nuisance as I end up using them too sparingly (a weak lather) 2) these curvy handles fill me with too much handling confidence and I need to be more respectful of them (a couple of weepers). Overall, a socially acceptable shave. I'll give the Titan another go on Wednesday.

The heartbreaking thing in today's shave is that my Game Changer has been delivered but I'm not at home to use it!!
