I like a filming location, and curious if any films, tv or adverts have been filmed near to where you live. For me......

  • The Railway Children
  • Yanks
  • Peaky Blinders
  • The Great Train Robbery - 2013 BBC drama
  • Another Brick in the Wall music video
  • Testament of Youth
  • Monty Python's Meaning of Life
Plus heaps of bit parts in programmes like The League of Gentlemen, and adverts such as Hovis.

Would Blackhall Beach from Get Carter be anywhere near you?

Living and working in the Cotswolds, I regularly see the BD LOC location signs.

Blockley, Stow On The Wold, Northleach. A customer of mine is the local garage in some sitcom, but I don't watch much, so don't know what its called!

Dr Who & Harry Potter have scenes shot in Gloucester. The restaurant scene when Sherlock returns was shot in the Dafodil in Cheltenham.

Lots of woodland in the Forest of Dean is used in films.

They were filming the next Sally Wainwright just over there (points) the other month. Naturally, her others were filmed in and around Halifax.

Downton was being filmed in Little Germany (a district of Bradford) just across from where I work. We could see all the cars being unloaded into the car park opposite. Missed all the actors, though.

I was at the Chambers of Commerce (Little Germany) in early December and saw a period drama being filmed. Loads of vintage cars. May have been the same programme.
