Any blades you won't buy again?

I went halves with a mate who got some Dinosaur brand blades from China. Luckily they were dirt cheap, because they were absolutely useless. Worst blades evah. I mean, you know that magic trick where you pull a string of razor blades out of your mouth? They'd be great for that but not for actually cutting anything.

Anyway, I threw them all in the bin years ago. But recently I was checking my blade stash and found I'd accidentally kept some. Never mind, my wife kinda likes them to shave her legs with. One blade, even these jokey ones, will last her six months in her Feather Popular razor.

Belatedly tried the freebie Wilkinson Sword 'Classic' blades that came with the razor of the same name. Not really a fan so won't buy. Had 2 shaves, got more irritation than usual and it felt great going back to Polsilver SI today.

I bought sample packs and tried about ten different brands. I hated feathers, persona, treet most if all. Some were passable but the only brands I would buy packs of are Astra , Gillette silver blue and Gillette Nacet. If jyst one it would be Nacet.

I've got a suspicion the Gillette Super Blue is the same blade as the Tian Li Super Blue and the Baili Super Blue, as the latter shaves like the one BladeMonkey & Nolisco describe.

The Tian Li Super Stainless seems to be the same as the Tian Li Super Blue.

Truly horrific razor blades. A shave with one of them will remind one how superb other razor blades are.
The two Tian Li are entirely different formulations. The Super Blue are instant fail godawful, the Super Stainless in the dark blue pack I find just great, one of my regular blades.

Interesting. I was given a pack of a Tian Li SS with the carton of TianLI SB and in use I found both blades to be exactly the same.

There's a distinct possibility the TianLi SS blades you have are the 'real' ones whilst the ones that I have are either bum blades or counterfeit ones.

Something I found with both of them is they have wonky and uneven edges.

Possible I guess. I shared the SS Tian Li with a couple of other board members who were also pleased with them. I tried the Super Blue twice and found them so bad I couldn't complete a shave with them.

I bought a 100 Tian Li SS and whilst they were usuable, even when pairred with a great soap such as vintage P160, I struggled as I found them to be lacking in smoothness. YMMV as always

Derby I think. Initially I was impressed with them but after trying different blades they are not sharp enough for me...
