Gillette Slalom carts for Contour - discontinued?

I use Gillette Slalom carts regularly in my old Contour - great blades, and no annoying lube strip. Used to be able to get 30 for £7 on eBay. I searched for them recently and couldn't find them anywhere online.

I assume they must now be discontinued. Can anyone confirm this?

Well this is the one time I have not stock piled on something I like. I tend to keep a lifetimes supply of stuff I like.

The next best ones value wise, I suppose, are the Vector blades. Will have to take the lube strip off of those though.

I believe they can still be had from India.

... he says, having just checked the usual places. No! They've gone! Proper gone!

Alternatives (without that god-awful lube strip thing): if you look to Trac II cartridges, which slide on from the side rather than grip, some of them are dual purpose, for Trac II and Contour. Check the backs carefully and you'll figure it out. They might not be as good as the Gillette, but they'll do the job.

It's a real shame they've gone. They were the best cartridge I've tried in the Contour. The old Wilkinson Profile carts are almost as good for me, but they can only be found NOS now.

The Wilkinson Sword Twin II Plus may still be available on eBay, these are Profile Plus/Ultra Plus equivalents for the American market...

If you have a Trac II/GII/Profile Fixed, an eBay seller is doing 25 packs for £14.10 of Gillette Wilkinson Sword Wilman II Premium without Lube strip...
