A boxed Stahly. Went a little bit over my limit @ £36 including postage, but as I missed out on a couple of other things earlier, I don't feel so guilty about it.

I was watching that one :)

I was going to go to £30 on that!,had it (along with a load of Ratty's others) in my watch list!,well done Sean!.
I didn't snipe any of Ratty's auctions BTW....They all went too high!.....;)

Nothing too exciting as only had my first 'de' shave on the weekend and been banned from buying anything too extravagant this side of christmas. Can feel the bug biting so ordered some soap samples from shavedash and a couple of feather blades to try some time in the future. Here's what i ordered :

Hey...You would be better off with One of those Auld Scraper Blade Jobs....:D

Billy

Nope, tried some after many years of resisting and found the 1912ish SE things not to my liking. Besides those window scraper blades I was also talked into using rug cutters and dogs dressers types. Missing at least one more kind but who cares. All horrific and unnatural. Very creepy devices in general.

I won an eBay auction last night for this pair:
s-l1600.jpg

(seller's photo). The adjustable was described as a "1959 Slim Boy" while the other one appears to be some kind of FrankenOld (thin-cap Old Type on a Fat Tech handle).

I'm hoping that the Slim cleans up without too much trouble. If so, it should be worth the $12.99US (including shipping). I don't know about the Old Type, though; it looks like all four corner teeth are bent. (Is there a dentist in the house?) I am curious to see what color the Tech handle cleans up to, though.

I've wanted a NeverShed brush in this particular model for over a year now when I saw one fully restored and thought it was an amazing looking brush.
The tough thing is that they don't come up all that often for sale and when they do there is often some serious cosmetic/structural damage - but, finally came across one this week that looks great and after $20 w/ free shipping it is now slowly making its way over to me.

The patent date on it is Feb 14-05.

I think I just scored an original all metal Wilkinson Protector w/ stand for $10.
Seller description:
"Metal Wilkinson Sword Protector razor. Please note that this is Wilkinson Sword Protector, and not Wilkinson Sword Protector 3. The razor is in very good condition."

Thing is,I think that may well be a Gillette Single ring, hidden in there...Doesn't matter if it isn't,as I like the look of this old brush, and what I would imagine to be an unused Culmak soap, along with the skuttle, and a boxed Rolls,so nothing lost for £9 posted.

It looks like a thistle on a conker.
