Mitchell’s Wool Fat

Then do what I do and super-lather. I first load up on the puck of MWF using it as a base, then dip or swirl my brush in a tub of cream with the scent of my choice. The great thing about MWF scent is that it is pretty much unscented and can be superlathered as a soap base year round with any cream, any season of the year.
I shall try that with the MWF and some old soaps I recently purchased from the BST that have no scent left.
Good tip, thank you.

I put MWF in a TOBS tub on top of about 6 different scented soaps that were the dregs of old tubs and sticks. I have just broke through to TOBS sandalwood and Palmolive stick. MWF has benefited for it as others have said it has very little scent on its own.(y)

That sounds like the sort of thing that I do, I have no qualms about mixing creams and soaps and seeing what comes out from the mixture.

Even easier if you just add a few drops of your favourite essential oils or as @TobyC said
soak the soap in aftershave & to me that seems like the way forward.
Although Toby was referring to Williams iv no doubt it would be class with mfw also

MWF soaked in Spanish Leather would be a tad expensive but by Matron’s Housemaid’s Knees, I bet it would be divine!
I was thinking more of a cheap type like skin Bracer and the like.
Saying that you can pick up vintage old spice for a tenner ish.
Iv actually never tried Spanish Leather i really need to give it a go.

You do need to try it, sir. It’s not a eureka moment, earth shattering scent but it is heavenly. It’s a bit like Imperial Leather with a touch of Old Spice yet refined and classy. A warming yet clean, soapy scent that’s fairly unique given it’s been around for over 100 years. A true favourite.

Is it Trumpers you would recommend?

I put two drops of Old Spice aftershave on the small amount of MWF i had in a tub (~20g). It works really well. It could be my imagination, it seems to lather a little easier as well.

I put it in pre shower, used it twice since and still has the aroma of Old Spice. On the amount I tried it with, soak once and done.
