Pre: Shower and 50% Aleppo
Brush: ΑΛΦΛ Outlaw, SHD 2-Band
Soap: A&E Spartacus
Razor: OneBlade Genesis, Gunmetal
Blade: Modified GEM (1)
Post: Home-made astringent followed by Zingari Man unscented balm
Scent: Copycat Aventus

Shave: Well, for me the Genesis knocks spots off the Core (thankfully). The razor has a genuine, high-end feel to its construction, and to me the alloy feels like something you might use to pimp the Millenium Falcon, though if I’d had the choice I’d have picked the plain steel colour.

It was a perfectly pleasant shave – three passes, BBS, no irritation – but It took a patient hand. I’m taking my time to get to know this razor. I think it makes a difference knowing that the blade is a familiar GEM, and the feel when shaving is preferable to the FHS-10, even though my lack of mod skills meant the blade had a slight smile.

It deserves a place in the den, I think. I wouldn’t have paid full price for it, and it irks me that OneBlade have gone to such lengths to maximise subscriptions, minimising choice, but I can’t deny the razor is well made.

Ganders Goat Soap w/Hop, Sage & Birch
Vie-Long Shaving Stick (Grated)
Semogue SOC Taj w/Special Boar 24mm
Gillette Labs Exfoliating Razor & Gillette Labs Cartridge (14)
Puig Quorum Aftershave

After enjoying a lovely shave with LEA yesterday, it seems logical to move onto the Vie-Long shaving stick which is LEA's old tallow formula ...

Super! Grand splash of Quorum to finish. I'm a happy fellow now.

Used by a Scotsman lol
I wanted to go with the Pregress again just to get the feel of it.
A heavy razor by all accounts and it times a tad aggressive on setting 3.
Nevertheless i enjoy using it and a 3 pass shave was effortless.
I’m unsure if i like these treet blades so will need to try something i like in the progress to decide properly.
The soap was first class for me and a first as it just arrived this morning from The Gentleman’s Groom Room Dundee.
It has a bit of sentimental value as one of the notes is Iris which was my mothers name.

I’m unsure mate
Hopefully others will tell you better than me.
I only have 5 Wickham and all say Belfast

It's a (more) recent thing ... none of my Wickham's says this. The soap does still say "Handmade in England" so guess he's still over here and still making the soap. The Belfast address is of a shared creative workspace venture, so ... a business address?

This is a very nice locally made soap. I just love the beautiful natural herby scent. The lather was very creamy and slick too...
This shaves with one of my favorites but long-ignored razors paired with the excellent blade was very nice! Crisp, smooth, and comfortable in 3++passes for a bbs/dfs result without any issues. The aftershaves were very nice too!
