Tabac soap
Claymore Evolution
Kai Captain Titan Mild Pink ( 3 )
Tabac A/S Lotion

A superb Lather made the Shave very easy, but with the Kai Pink I have not yet mastered getting the area around the nostrils clear. Afraid that my poor technique spoils what would have been a really up there finish.

Prep: Palmolive Olive Oil Soap
Soap: Wars Cream
Brush: 24mm Boti Boss knot
Razor: Gillette Tech
Blade: London Bridge (1,2 and 3)
Post: Wars ASL, RSC Balm

23rd-25th February:
My hotel setup for the last three days. Job done, but let down by the blade. It's not bad per-se, but it just lags behind in the Gillette blade hierarchy. I've a couple of unopened tucks which I'll try with another razor (maybe the more aggressive Parker will suit) but I'm in no hurry to inconvenience the Tech again with one.

Prep: Face wash with Nivea face wash
Pre: None
Razor: Karve - Brass C plate
Blade: Astra SP (3)
Brush: Razorock Barber 24mm
S Cream: Truefitt & Hill No 10
Post: Baxter of California ASB

This is the last week with the Karve and I don't think it's going to find a place in my den. Not going to keep it. And the decision has nothing to do with the performance. It's to do with the build material. I have already decided aluminium is not for me and I think brass joins this category. Of course not for the same reasons as brass has a good weight to it compared to an aluminium counterpart. Brass is just too metallic for me. Somehow reminds of a penny coin taste.
Today's shave was no different than the rest - smooth and efficient. Pleasantly surprised by T&H shaving cream. A very easy to obtain dense lather hence with great cushioning qualities.

Wishing you all a great weekend ahead!

I had the same issue with my Karve yet not the Hone, very odd. I won’t if it’s something to do with how they are finished/coated?

Best shave I’ve had from the Blackbird! A delight from start to finish with one of my favourite soaps and scents, a brilliant brush and the Blackbird was unusually mellow and chilled today! A great end to the week!

Brilliant Shave today but 2 weepers
i went months & months without a weeper but recently seem to be getting one or two each shave,
Defo something i’m doing wrong.
The Rex is a wonderful Razor however i’m pretty scared of it & don’t use it enough.
The MWF for me is class in the old Boots The Chemist jar.
A Marmite Soap but i love & it whipped up a lovely lather with the boar.
Meant to say this was the third use with the med prep and the jury’s out for me,
Don’t get me wrong iv had three great shaves with it but there’s something in the back of my head telling me i don’t like them lol
i’m a screwball i know.
Onwards & Upwards
