Pearl Flexi Rattle

I have just rechecked @Max Spoofing , remove the top cap and hold the screw knob with the handle to stop it from moving, the razor makes no sound when skaken, this makes me think there is a "free" collar holding in the screw knob to stop it falling out, when tightened it will float, I don't think it's anything to worry about.
The Rex has a sprung fit assembly which does the same thing by gripping the internal tube of the handle, albeit probably much more expensive to manufacture.
I can live with it as it does not detract from the shave for me.
Mine still makes a sound if I remove the top cap and hold the screw at the bottom. I emailed shaving time to see if they had any tips but they assured me it was normal and edited the listing to describe the sound.

Tbh if I hadn't read on this forum that it might of been an issue then I would have just cracked on and assumed it was normal. Instead I opened the box and started throwing it around looking for imperfections.

Does the rattle have any impact? No
Does it shave great? Yes
Would I buy it again? Yes
Am I going to keep it? Definitely

Followed Tony'schin fix taking it from 6 to just past 1 and
this has fixed it. Brilliant. Thanks. I am really glad I didn't send it back now.
Brilliant, did you squeeze the top cap a few times to the bottom plate when it was on #6, or did the spring just seat itself?
Mine still has a very light noise when shaken really hard vertically, horizontally - zilch/nada.
For what it costs I think it a brammer!
It's up next week for a proper run out, then next month on a head to head with a few of my other adjustable's.
Really glad the fix worked for you.(y)

Hi. I did squeeze the top cap on 6. I daresay if I shook it hard enough it would rattle. I couldn’t cope with it as it was everytime I rinsed it rattle rattle. I am one of those who hear every rattle in a car dash board. I think they based the film The quiet place on me. Very recommended film. Thanks again

Wait till you get older, you won't even hear the water running in the sink.

Just found this strip down vid for those who want to try it.
Apparently opening the copper C clip a bit stops it moving inside the handle, although this is not shown. It does show the detail of the razor parts though and helps understanding of what is going on.
