What Watch Are You Wearing Today?

Some time ago my wife wanted a watch she could use on a daily basis, but was dissatisfied with the girl’s watches on offer, totally impractical, all fake ice and shit, so she started looking through MY WATCH COLLECTION for inspiration, talk about goldilocks tasting the three bears porridge, she did settle on my Casio wave ceptor. All is fine except for the bracelet so I ordered a leather replacement, I do have to say I do like the look that strap gives.3D162F74-36D7-47BB-B382-E8B43DBE7F2E.jpeg

A heavy duty Russian homage to the Cartier "Tank" This is from the Buren factory and I'm not sure if its still in production. Doesn't have Cartier standards of finish but a very robust mechanism and case. The supplied strap went straight in the bin the Russians having perfected a process for making leather look like genuine plastic crocodile skin!

Bought an economical Casio quasi-diver watch today for the simple reason that it has day/date, is highly legible and the reputation Casio quartz has for accuracy. No need to shuck out Big Money when this has the same movement that many of their other more expensive quartz watches have. As well, this fella's videos convinced me:

If anyone needs a cheap and reliable watch - these Casio MRW-200H's are only £14 odd on Amazon at the moment. Great value!

Finally splashed out on a replacement Bergeon spring bar tool to replace the one i lost a while back.

Have been making do with a cheap chinese one, but got sick of having to dress and reshape the ends constantly, which bend and deform, because of the cheap metal they use.

So a 6767-F arrived today, with additional standard sized fork and pin ends.

I was so happy just taking it out of the box and remembering what a solidly made product it is - properly finished knurling and accurate threads :) (y)
