Refursbished laptops

My Dell refurb arrived today and I am happier than a criminal with a new gun!! Clean as a hound's tooth! Hell, it looks unissued!! o_O Fired 'er up and so far runs like a charm (knock on wood). Battery seems to be OK. Simple layout and nothing too Tricky Dicky, just the way I like it.

I needed some good news as I have been in a lot of pain which my dentist "cured" today by informing me I need a root canal next week.

Sorry to hear about the Root Canal. Horrible things!

On a similar note, the Latitude I bought turned up yesterday. It's lovely to have a laptop that boots up nice and quickly! I like the idea of buying refurbished kit. Some really good specs, and very good prices. In most cases out performing modern laptops. Happy Easter.

In my work capacity I retired about forty Latitude E5520 and E5530 in 2019, awesome machines.

The only weak point was the hinges, that tend to go wobbly after few years of abuse by employees.

I remember that Windows 10 was working better than 7 on these models. Build quality from Dell nowadays is not as it was when the E5520, E5530, E5540 we're out.
I can't say we see a huge difference in performance with the 5th generation chips in these machines to the current 10th and 11th gen, though battery life is far superior on the current crop (3 hours vs 11 hours).
