Saturday 09th January to Friday 15th January 2021

And with my granddaughters influencing my SOTD once again (they are worse than Mr Boycie), today I present a shave with the theme 'A box of teddies'

Mr Blue
Mr Purple (the most evil looking grumpy fluffy teddy I ever seen)
Razorock 400
Violet
Nancy
Occams Enoch with a Titan Mild
Flower
Daphne
Martin De Candre Rose soap

And in further preparation for more surgery on Jeremy, the Jr Doctor's essential implements for bandaging sick teddies. Of which Jeremy seems to have recurring illnesses of every type on a regular basis. He is a very tortured chap.

A return to the Enoch as it is one of those razors I have to keep reminding myself how damn good it is. And it is, but even with the mildest AC blade in the box (Not the same one as the teddies of course as we have to keep children's safety in mind. If Jeremy had a human side he would probably disagree entirely) it still needs respect as it remains very up-front with delivery. A lack of concentration and one will be in need of the the Jr Doctor's kit and questionable medical competency.
As it is though perfection from a shower room sink, but helped along with the superb MdC and the 400 brush. Not sure the 400 is the best for face lathering straight from the tub, but it did its duties with some form of aplomb and job done, box ticked and face lathered. Tick, tick and..............tick.

A very nice shave indeed and all to be topped off with a massage of Tropical moisturiser and what else other than a touch of C88 to give the MdC Rose a gentle lift. I did think about a gentle air of beaver scent but couldn't lay my hands on it

Have a lovely day people and may you all be safe, well and healthy. Thank you for ever getting this far so have something different as a reward

Okay. Don't

Happy Wednesday! Halfway to the weekend and hopefully all downhill from here. Cold and grey and so a little scent happiness was in order. B&M Seville always brightens up my day so it was called upon today with its matching AS.

I am on a run of Brit Gillette razors and so today fell to the more than capable Rocket HD 500. I am quite pleased I picked this one up and was lucky to find a minty one cased for a decent price. It has never let me down and when loaded with a Feather blade it is shaving bliss.

Lovely shave this morning and quite relaxing. Topped it off with some Coach for Men and off to the races we go. Enjoy the day and stay safe!

First real shave for a while, as over the last few months (since October) I'd grown a beard and the only shaves I had in this time were below the jaw/cheekbones.

Has anyone here had a beard before? To begin with, it's really itchy then it grows out and is less itchy for a few weeks then the itchyness really returns with a vengeance, requiring combing, shampooing and so on but it gets to a point where I literally couldn't having the mass of hair on my face any longer and hacked it off.

The first stage required using scissors, and the clippers on grade 1; crikey the hair gets everywhere, I did that yesterday. The second stage I undertook today, I managed to get a pretty good result with 3 passes. I'm very impressed with the Gillette New OC, much more efficient than my other vintage Gillettes and was very smooth paired with the sharp 7 Yellow.

Feels good to be fully clean shaven after months.

Have a good day gents.

Good evening all

Brush- Dcosmetics Badger
Soap- TOBS Grapefruit
Razor- Rockwell 6S R2 and then R4
Blade- GSB #3
Post- Barts Grapefruit and Pink Pepper ASL

So those that are crazy enough to read my inane ramblings might know that I've been reversing the norm on my adjustable shaves by starting on a lower setting WTG and then going higher on the ATG and XTG passes.
This has been working for me excellently and I'm now getting my closest shaves with this little method of madness.
Stay safe everyone and have a great evening.

I must try the R2 followed by R4 plate to see of it works for me too. Thanks for posting this.
