SOTD : Saturday 23th - Friday 29 th March 2019

Fri 29th March

Vulfix 404 mixed
Vitos Super Red
Merkur Futur
Lab Blue [ 2 ]
Jaguar Prestige A/S Lotion

My second DE Shave of 2019, using a Futur which now seems small after using heavyweight AC/SE Razors . With a good Vitos lather and a low setting on the Razor, I had the most smooth and comfortable Shave. with a finish which is a Face Stroker. After a quality Shave like this I should perhaps have a few more DE Shaves, especially as I have a stack of Lab Blues.

Another day, another A'crat and this one is a fav of mine. This particular one is a USA 1946-47 version and is in truly immaculate original condition. Whoever had it barely used it as the knurling on the handle is new and the finish perfectly preserved. I have not polished this one. It shaves even better than it looks.

Today's soap choice was Barrister & Mann Tuesday which is a wonderful lavender and violet accord. Seasonal scent yes, very much so but what a great scent and performing soap. Topped it off with the matching AS.

Loaded the A'crat up with a fresh Personna Med Prep and proceeded to lather up with a custom creation. This brush comes courtesy of two community members who graciously donated it in a PIF as a lot of three. This brush is beautiful and has a custom turned maple handle that was sourced from an ancient fallen tree on the creator's property. An approximately 24mm Horse Hair knot sits in this one. I have never used a horse hair brush before and I was very impressed. Soft with great cushion and though not a pronounced amount of backbone it just seemed perfect for the loft. Splay on this brush was beautiful and for a first outing of any brush just about perfect. Only detractor is I stopped at three passes because I could have gone until lunch lathering up with this one! Beautiful three pass BBS shave was achieved all while enjoying some pretty nice shaving eye candy! Let the weekend begin...happy shaves all!

Now that gents IMOHO is the SOTD. Great post.

Pre-shave: Cold water + Proraso Pre-shave
Safety razor: Feather Artist Club SS
Blade: Professional Super
Shave soap: Stirling Eucalyptus Mint
Shaving brush: Edwin Jagger Imitation Ebony Best Badger
Shaving bowl: The Goodfella's smile Hemlock-wood
Shaving mug: MÜHLE, porcelain white
After-shave: Cold water rinse --> Alum --> Proraso Aftershave Balm

Shaved today with Feather shavette, very smooth, some little wounds because I find it very hard to shave with this shavette (been doing it only for a few times, needs some practice I guess). I shave with cold water by the way.
