My pot of cella turned up today, courtesy of this thread. I rather like the smell.

I'm now trying to resist buying balm etc to match.

Damn forum, encouraging me to buy things.
 
Working with a tub currently (in rotation with 5 others). I find it nice and slick...like Proraso tubs the stuff is more a 'croap'. If you like the smell of bitter almond/marzipan/cherries.
 
I am quite sure that the colonia classica will not be discontinued, consider that the factory is mainly a perfume factory and shaving soaps are just a aside activity for them.

I think it's a first class soap, I shared a block with another member several years ago now, it does have a more Christmas cake/marzipan/kirsch smell than Vitos but I found the performance more or less exactly the same. The trouble with buying the 1 kilo brick is that you might well get bored with it as it will seem never ending! I suspect (I have not tried them all) that most of these Italian almond soft soaps are really quite similar in the same way as are (IMHO) most of the Turkish shave sticks.
