I had many a student night on the tuxedo royale and princess! But yeah, sadly gone now...
In the Long Bar at the moment..... With next to no battery life left, which is what happens when you forget a charger.... [emoji15]

Just returned from the bathroom, having had a shave with a ....... well if the Pils is Thor's Hammer, this is ....... The Hulk's Fist. !

Now I'm a big guy, I'm a little over 6ft and I weigh in at exactly 15st 9lb or around 102kg, as of this morning's post Xmas visit to the scales, I've also made it clear that lightweights like the Standard, as good a shave as it gives is not for me.
So upon seeing the Hone appear on the not to distant horizon, I was to say the least a bit keen to try one, was I disappointed ?,

"Hell no".

Love it ! love it ! love it !.
Weight Perfect.
Size. Perfect.
Material used : Perfect.
Machined Finish : Lovely. (perfect was getting overused).
Quality of Shave : Excellent. (first pass WTG a little worrying, as it was not great, I'm guessing it was me).

Full lineup was.
Hot Shower, face prepped with a layer of Bodyshop Maca root, while I dried off.
Whipped dog 30mm Pure black, Firehouse potters handle.
Hone
Voskhod (1)
Alum, (almost sting free)
King of shaves Menthol moisturizer, (£0.45 on offer in superdrug a while back).
Still not decided on AS, but at home alone till 7.30pm so may not bother.

3 pass smooth and easy, as I said the first pass was not great but most likely down to me, will update after shave 2, followed up with XTG and ATG, audible feedback was good and I could feel the blade nicely, not tugging at all even on areas that should have had a lather top up,
managed to catch a ingrown lump but did minor damage.

I think this is a great piece of kit, if I had a delusional personality I'd think this was custom made specifically for me, its perfect,
I may have gone a little OTT, but I truly feel I will not be able to find a fault, however many shaves I have with the Hone.

This thing is Built for longer than my lifetime and I'm inclined to think, it will look better in 5 years than when it arrives BNIB.

Firstly, Yes, yes it blooming well is.

Shave 2, not quite a carbon copy of shave 1, change of brush and back to my Pheonixandbeau sample, (with added tea tree as a scent).

Still very impressed with every aspect and as suspected little change from shave 1, with the Voskhod on second use, I completed a 3 pass WTG XTG ATG, in pretty much record time, no messing about no extra long prep, just treated it as if I had to shave and this was my chosen weapon.

I have to add a couple of things not mentioned in shave 1's report, first warmth, its without question a thermal magnet, not once have I felt the Hone feel anything less than warm on my face, even with missing the odd dip into the water when I should be clearing the soap from the blade, which brings me to the second thing, this thing just keeps cutting and cutting and never looks like clogging, I think for my next and probably final shave I will attempt to only rinse the head once after every complete pass, just to confirm my hunch.

Top shave, enjoyable and efficient, just how I like it.
 
For me certainly, but as I'm learning this can be very subjective and personal.

I will be buying one, just waiting to hear back on whether or not the pass round people will be able to get the discount code reinstated, if not I'll still have one,.
