Really want to try some of this but the price for shipping is almost as much as the soap itself.

A shame!

Ok, I'm with Fido on this one!

I was in Paris at the weekend, and just had to find a shop that stocked this stuff. The shipping is just silly! With the help with one of the friends we were staying with, we Googled and found this place, very central:

http://www.planete-rasoir.com/EN/index.htm

Very nice shop, very welcoming and helpful. I noticed a cupboard simply bulging with Plissons, so I had to buy the soap and quickly leave before any more damage to my wallet was done. I dread to think what would have happened had my girlfriend not been there!

I have shaved with this stuff several times now, and I think it's a fantastic product. It's not cheap, but you get so much, it will last forever. I haven't even made a mark on it yet, and it's filled to the brim. Cost per shave is certainly no worse (even better?) then the cheaper soaps.

It's supposed to be used as a soap, not a cream. You don't want to be scooping this stuff out, you won't get value for money and you certainly don't need to - swirling in the jar for 30 secs gives plenty of lather for multiple passes. Seems very concentrated, much like CF hard "cream" (which I also use like a soap).

The store also had Trumpers and Taylors soaps for €30! Quite the mark up for imported products...

If you ever visit Paris, a visit to this shop is well worth it, and you won't have to go out of your way to do so.

First use was last Christmas day. I don't keep a record but this has been often in my rotation. Looking at it today I wonder if I will ever need another jar.

Yep, this stuff is economical!

Been using this a lot, a truly fantastic performer. My only fear is I'll tire of the scent, but I guess that's what all my other soaps and creams are for!
