Re: Posh Fragrances For All Is Go
If it's not too late to express an interest, I'd like two. I'm interested in trying anything I haven't already tried, so no preferences to state really Smile.

2 for me please

i don't know about which ones to try, but i'll stick a couple of names down for fun!

floris special 127
T+H Clubman
GFT Skye

just read some very uncomlementory reviews of these three on basenotes - so perhaps its best to ignore these suggestions!

RE: Posh Fragrances For All Is Go
Great idea - I'll have 2. Never tried a 'posh' smell so I'll go with the majority.

RE: Posh Fragrances For All Is Go
Looking good guys, we got Creed in the lead at the moment. I have never tried any of their range
Fook me just took a look at the price of the stuff, no wonder I have never tried it!

Try to keep to named fragrances otherwise it may cause errr complications at the endSmile

Cheers

Hi there,

You got a good idea there about making unusual frags available to the forum members. Thanks for making the effort to get this rolling and to eventually send all the items out.

Yeah, Creed is expensive, but worth the money in some cases. That company has some scents that no one else offers, and if you love one then sometimes it can be justified. Maybe just buy a large decant, which can last for months, or possibly even split a bottle.

From what I've read, Creed uses some extremely high end products when creating what they do, and that stuff drives the cost up. Things like ambergris and the right type of sandalwood or oud are what help contribute to the final result for happy huffing.

Now when I went through a sandalwood phase, the one EdT or EdP that really stood out was the Creed Santal Imperial EdT. Very dry, with only three ingredients if I remember right. This is not the same as the Creed Santal.

About a year ago, Creed came out with 3-4 new frags. Some were old ones brought back from years ago, and one was called Royal Oud. Now that stuff really grabbed me. Holy crap......never sniffed anything like it. Lasts a good 10-12 hours and it smells amazing to my nose.

Heh, you think Creed is expensive? The Royal Oud is another bump up from the usual Creed line. I have a small 4mm decant that has lasted me quite a while, since I wear this juice so rarely.

Another great fragrance house to look at would be Tom Ford. Extremely high quality juice that wears long and well on the user. The Azure Lime EdP is by far the nicest lime kinda scent I've sniffed, and certainly the longest lasting.

For a good handle on frag reviews, http://www.basenotes.com is the place to look.

Heh, I'm gonna sit out on the fun here....I'll just watch and see how many members slide down this particular rabbit hole.

RE: Posh Fragrances For All Is Go
Hi
count me in for 2 please

1/ so much choice but the chance to try some Creed is too good an opportunity to miss, like the sound of Santal but happy to take a leap of faith with anything

2/ Trumpers GFT

3/ penhaligons juniper sling

I guess there will be little overlap with everyones suggestions but i bet we will be happy to compromise and have a punt .

Cheapsmells.com seem to have some good prices and good reviews on basenotes.net
