It's only because i'm worried about breaking the mug as im bound to drop it in the sink or such like, clumsy numpty that i am, whereas the Ikea tins are a lot more robust. I had to Google Surabachi !!! good shout though.

Nope. It's just soap, and your reasons for doing it are entirely justified.

I use Mitchells Wool Fat quite a bit, and have the ceramic jar/bowl (I almost typed "bowel" Vinny). It looks lovely but I find it just to slippery and awkward to use in the bathroom at 6:45 in the morning, so the soap resides in a sealable plastic container from home bargains (other chav targeted retailers are available).
