Hi yes it's genuine paua abalone laminated between a liner & acrylic to make it more durable (shell is so fragile on its own it needs some support) cheers ed.
 
Really nice blade matey, good design and I am a fan of the filework and bling. Where did you get the abalone as I am making a razor at the moment and would like to buy some?

Hi cheers mate yours look pretty good too!!,Unfortunately my abalone source has dried up and I am down to my last bits so im on the look out as well cheers ed.
