Will this sharpen?

Hi, sorry for the deluge of posts.

I bought this Razor on eBay and want your opinion whether it is worth sending to be honed or is it a waste of postage?

It has Dille on the Tang and etched on the face of one side and made in Germany 34 on the other.

cutting edge seems in good order but you will need to take a better photo showing the spinewear

Looks like it may have a frown in the centre of the blade, a challenge to hone but not impossible.
Rest the blade edge on a flat surface and see if there is daylight/gap in the centre.

It did sharpen after all

I used 1000 then 2000 grit wet and dry paper followed by 30 micron then 5 micron 3M lapping film.

Used a sheet of glass to lay the wetted papers/films on and did 20-30 laps on each side of the razor on the wet and dry paper then 40-60 laps on the film.

Followed this with a couple of strokes on a leather strop.

It easily takes hair of my arm but does not pass the hanging hair test requiring some downward force to cut the hair.

I kind of made it up as I went along but I've had 2 successful shaves with it so far and have found it much easier than using my shavette.
