I wasn't assuming that, I was just explaining that I was able to use a VPN server thousands of miles away and the quality was fine. I've also watched Channel 4OD and BBC (for Peep Show and MOTD respectively ;0) )

You can set up a VPN to a UK server with HMA on an iPhone. I've only tested it to the point that my iPhone's IP address showed as being in the UK. I didn't actually try to watch anything, sorry. Setting up the VPN was pretty easy, and I'm sure there are free options online somewhere.

Sorry if that seemed sarcastic - it wasn't meant to be at all. I thought some other replies seemed to be assuming, that was why I commented, but it was an observation as opposed to any form of criticism. In actual fact, the site in question was German, though I don't understand the language well.

I stay in hotels in Germany a lot and am quite used to German TV. For a lot of it the language is really quite irrelevant ;)

Was any of the German stuff aimed at helping me get my iPhone onto a UK server???
The 2 VPN either require a PC now or a phone that uses Firefox . My iPhone doesn't do either.

My problem is that once I lost vpnuk there are no other vpns that I can done load from apple for the iPhone that shave nonUS based servers . I go to apps in the UK try to search and it knows I'm in the us and it switches me back to the is App Store!!! Need to be able to go the the web site of a UK VPN that compatible with iPhones that has an app to download.
