USB password protection - any recommendations?

If I'm buying new, I would now always get one with built in security software, my original question refered to what software can you download if the existing stick you have doesn't have any...

I know, but then you went onto say that you had very basic IT skills and didn't know how to implement the suggestions. Surely if you're doing work in your own time for free your employer would spring a tenner to ensure the stuff you're carrying is secure?
