I was wondering. Does TOBS make anyone's face irritated?
I have a tub of Coconut and when I lather up it seems to tingle on my face and post shave my face feels chapped and red.. If you know what I mean?
I tend to avoid creams.
I am just discovering that they seem to make my face slightly sting.
Not too bad, but with so many other great soaps, why put up with it.
I am also finding some strong smelling soaps do the same.
As mentioned above I have just about stopped using creams..The more scented the cream & soap the more chance of irritation..A lot of folks chase scents and the more expensive brand names provide them..To me that's like walking into a Gun Shop & asking for a Gun with the best scent...Doesn't Figure..All strong soaps & creams put you at risk of irritation & a lot of the most expensive ones are the worst of the worst for it...
I just went to Asda and bought two sticks of Palmolive. 49p each. I've grated it into a container and let it bloom with some warm water while my brush soaks. The bloom water is so,so slick and when I lather it the lather is really thick and slick. Super stuff and no irritation at all.
Excellent.
I am due to give that a little go myself soon.
I have a stick sitting there waiting. I am also going to grate it into a bowl.
It is next on my list. (currently using up an OSP sample)
Edit: which is also very good by the way and doesn't sting me at all.
I use TOBS creams almost daily. I've pretty well used all of their creams and, so far, the only one to which I've had a reaction, a slight itching, is Almond.
