... well, 24 hours later and one fencing session on, my face feels good.
It wasn't the closest shave I've ever had (which is a good thing given the state of my face at the moment) but perhaps not as close as I thought it might be. That might well be down to the blade; something I'll know as I try different blades.
In all, very happy indeed and would certainly be happy to have another shave right now. If I'd have shaved with a cartridge blade yesterday I would certainly NOT be saying that right now. If anything, this good shave has permitted my cartridge face to heal really quickly. The stubble feels soft and not at all irritable.
... and I've made an impulse purchase of a Merkur 45C Bakelite. It's sooo purdy :blush:
... and the Mrs like Tabac Aftershave Lotion. Score for the old fashioned! Result!
I'll pop my forthcoming SOTDs into the regular posts from here on. I've got a feeling my next will start with 45C and finish with Tabac
