Why did this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=261010636707 sell for £34.66 and this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290705532465?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 for £12.11?

Am I missing the point or is this just ebay craziness?

One is clean and one is dirty and tarnished. Is that 'tarnish' actually brassing? I hope not but we'll see with bicarb and ali foil.

Good answer, Johnus - the correct one! I hope you are right - the lesser being the greater. The more expensive auction finished at a slightly better time, as I recall.

What to do with umpteen old and unwrapped blades? The obvious?

Yip it's brassing as silver tarnish is black.
