Osma Laboratories shaving soap

Yes, 'twas me.
(My, you guys are good!)

As a soap it lathers reasonably well. Nothing for me to complain about.
(But Arko is way better)

BUT
(Note that was a big but, with a warning implied)

Although the tin looks cool, I positively hate using it!
That aluminium tin has a very thin and sharp edge. I am VERY wary about loading my brush, as I feel that the hairs around the edge of the brush will be chewed away by the sharp edge of the tin. I value my brushes too much to use the Osma in the tin. I am going to decant the puck into some other container before it gets used again.

Hi - the Osma soap now comes packed in a plastic tub with lid, a much better arrangement - but the tin was never intended for use as a scuttle, just as packaging.

Incidentally, though the soap does contain Potassium alum, it also contains Shea butter for skin conditioning. A full rundown of ingredients is -

Sodium palmate, sodium palm kernelate, aqua, potassium alum, butyrospermum parkil, glycerin, sorbitol, parfum, sodium chloride, palm kernel acid, propylene glycol, tetrasodium EDTA, BHT, d-limonene, butylphenyl methylpropional and linalool.

Soap's a pretty personal thing - I've always found it to be very good.
