Interesting?

Anyone care to speculate on how many knots might be made in one hour?

Just watched the video and it is great that this has been filmed as it shows, basically, the typical and traditional way of knot making. To hand form a knot, depending on the density and size being formed (smaller brushes can take longer funnily enough) 2mins is a pretty good rate. One of our old knot makers who worked for Simpson from 1938 until 1989 could churn out roughly 200-220 knots a day. He ended up with fingers that looked like gnarled twigs though!

I'm not sure you would pass Business Economics 101 with this feasibility study, or would be in compliance with labour laws, either in the UK or in China, but your point that prices for high-end brushes bear no resemblance to the actual costs is for all intents and purposes correct.
