just a quickie... whats the best thing to lubricate the screw mechanism on a merkur? ive had my HD quite a few years now and it sounds a little squeaky.

Related question - How do clean under side of the base plate of a Progress? My progress comes apart into three parts but base plate remains attached to the handle of the razor.

Dont thinks it's lubrication you need more likely a deep clean of any crap in the threads.
