how to post pictures in threads

Hello all,

I was hoping you gents could help and teach me how to post pictures in threads, i have posted some pictures but they come out as small little things at the bottom of threads on which you have to click to see the pictures in full or you have to click on a link to photo bucket but i want them displayed soon as you click on the thread, i started DE just over a year now and have collected a small amount of razors and was thinking of posting them on a thread for all to see(if i can find them where i hid them from the Mrs) i'm not a tech wiz but have been trying with no luck, can you distant teach me please. :icon_cry2:

All I do is stick photo in photobucket, open picture, highlight the link (on right of photo "direct") and copy link.

Go to thread I want to post it in, click on picture icon, box opens with "http" in it. Delete the HTTP as you have already copied it from "direct"

Paste link (now with only http, once in link) and away you go.....

If you dont want to attach pictures to your posts.

Upload your pictures online somewhere, i either use my gallery on B&B or dropbox.

Once you have the picture link location somewhere online, use the IMG tags in your post as below.

Testing this method.

This is much the same as I use except that I copy the IMG reference on photobucket then paste directly into text. Sometimes its difficult to copy the IMG ref so I'll bear this one in mind in future.

I'm not a big fan of signing up for big brother style sites, so I found you can upload via tinypic.com with no account, when and where you need to. Worked well so far, I just need to get the quality of my pictures up to scratch now.

Not sure what you mean by Big Brother sites - how does tinypic differ from say Photobucket, which is also free?
