Help ID this old Simpson brush

I'm thinking an old Beaufort. Unsure on the size.

I can make out B, Pure Badger and the remnants of the Simpson stamp on the handle. The knot measures about 20mm.

Looks like a Beaufort James.

Lovely handle. So much character.
