Friend or Foe?

When you click on someone's user profile you have the option to either 'add friend' or 'add foe'.

Now I get the friend bit. The recipient of your affections gets a message saying something like "Will you be my friend?". This request can either be accepted or refused.

What is the foe bit about? Does your chosen recipient get a message saying "I think that you are a bit of a tosser, and I want to be your enemy"? Or is it the equivalent of an ignore button, where you will no longer see the foe's posts?

The latter. You don't get to see their posts - but you do get to see replies (and quoted replies).

I meant to ask. Does the foe know that you are ignoring them?

It's actually more the friend thing that I'm interested in, as I'm in the mood for a virtual hug!

FWIW, the "I think that you're a tosser..." method would be more fun. :lol:

Nope. Only you can that (well and Admin - I can't see it as a moderator for example).

I didn't set anyone to Foe because I don't take the web seriously. If you don't like someone's post you can always Log out hit the gym, go for smoke take a breather or what have you.
