Finished! Working my way through over 40 brushes in a few weeks has meant that many of my scribblings have been based on a few uses of each brush, and sometimes a sore face! I often comment on the need to give shaving products a fair trial before rushing to judgement. But I really didn't wish to spend too much time before completing this blog. So as I use brushes more often I will update comments as necessary.
Please add comments to the blog if you want to. I don't pretend to be an expert - just someone who enjoys looking into things. Enjoying shaving and being a natural collector can be a costly business. And once you start blogging, there's no end of things to write about.
Had an email from Germany yesterday about my bell blog and one from Chile about my shaving blog. That's what makes it worthwhile.

That is so difficult because it depends what price level you set. And it's all a matter of personal judgement. As I work through the brushes again, I'll probably change my mind.

But I guess for now, picking from broad price bands - and sticking with all rounders.

Low Vulfix 404 badger/boar

Middle Duke 3 Best or PJ2 Best or Savile Row 3120 (If pushed - The Duke - it feels it will last forever.

Top Astor Simpson LE

And if I think again about all the brushes it may change tomorrow!

It’s been interesting following this Fido. Your middle recommendation isn’t relieving my growing angst at not going for one of the Duke 3’s that were going on here a while ago.

That and the Omega 10005 will be the next brushes for me and that will be that for the brushes.

(For the time being and then I might try one of neocaligatio’s)

Thanks - some interesting comments about boar brushes. They do have a lot to offer but I remain firmly in the badger camp. Great collection though.
