Have just Acquired ER 1914, which has very stubby blade stops. Seems to hold a blade
tightly.

The Razor on Back is Marked-Ever Ready,Patented March 24/14, then under this
Made in USA.

On the inside it is marked American Safety Razor Co.inc New York.

Hope this is a variant of the one I already have, which is marked similarly, but has slotted
blade stops. The other one has a polished hexagonal handle as opposed to this one
with round knurled Handle.

Would appreciate from some of the SE guru `s out there.
Cheers Mike B

That's an earlier one (pre-1919 merger when "Co" became "Corp"), correct handle and the blade stops look functional - on the earlier ones, it's the blade stops that can have so much wear they no longer hold a blade, but that one looks good.
Cheers Paul,
Blade seems quite securely held, shall give it a try. At the moment working my way
to trialling the MMOC, lent to by Dick. Already, shaved with the CP & FW. Wary of the
OC, but understand that the 1924 which i have used is on par in terms of aggression.
