For some time now I have been meaning to distinguish if there is any difference from end of the line soaps usually sold on eBay and the product in specification. I understand being end of the line each product is different and so this analysis will be subjective.
Anyway I bought an Arlington end of the line puck and the proper soap in a bowl. Firstly the 'real' puck is more moisturising, secondly it has a more citrus/fresh scent where as the end of the line puck has more of a fern/woody smell. Finally the real puck is lighter in colour and more dense.
I like both scents but prefer the real Arlington puck, both lather well the proper puck being more moisturising. Therefore my conclusion is for a cheap puck the end of the line is not bad but unless you try the puck to specification you will never know the true identity and performance of Arlington
