Boots - DE Razor - Assembly?

Hi All,

I've noticed my rash is slowly starting to come back, and to be honest I think it is the razor head I've been used for the past few weeks (a Gillette 5 one).

Anyway, I decided to take the plunge and follow advice from this forum. I picked up the DE Razor from Boots and feel like a total idiot... I can't assemble it properly!

I figured out the blades slide out of their holder, I unwrapped it and tried feeding it to the razor. Eventually I realised I should try unscrewing the handle, which worked. But now when I put it together how I think it goes, the blade isn't accessible so won't cut anything.

I feel pretty stupid right now haha.

Thanks in advance for any tips :)

What does the razor look like, are you using the razor at the right angle,

Also it may be possible you have blunt the edge of the blade by pushing it in, so try another if angle is right, But a pic woud make it a lot easier to see what was wrong

I'm using the Boots DE Razor... <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.boots.com/en/Boots-Razor-Double-Edge-Razor-with-5-Blades_12442/">http://www.boots.com/en/Boots-Razor-Dou ... des_12442/</a><!-- m -->

I haven't started shaving with it yet as I can't get the thing together!

I've put the blade inbetween the two curvey parts.

I have put the bottom part the other way around and I think the blade is sticking out now. Seeing as this is the first day I have got my razor I'm gonig to watch another of Mantic's videos... I wouldn't want to risk butchering myself this evening!

I was watching one of Mantic's videos last night, and I noticed how he said the type of razor I'm using is one of the worst to use... Can anyone shed any further light?

I'd try a disposable razor, single or maybe double edge. The bic sensitive is easy to use, no complicated blades and mechanisms to figure out.
