Hi Guys,

I'm venturing into the world of restoring straights, and am just looking for any tips in respect to getting blades back to mirror finishes etc. If anyone has any trusted equipment or products that they can recommend or any insider knowledge it would be greatly appreciated. Just practicing technique on old broken beyond repair razors at the mo.

Apart from the Restoration section here you will find everything you need to know on Straight Razor Place. They have an extensive section on restoration including tips on equipment.

A lot depends on whether you want to do stuff by hand or invest in power tools - I went the power tool way but if you take a look through the retoration pages here you will see examples of both methods.
