Annoying "Cancer" Pop-Up

There has suddenly appeared on this site a pop up which I cannot seem to get rid of. It appears on every new page. Even though I have my settings to block pop-ups this one still appears here every time. It states "Together we fight cancer" and if I click on it it redirects me away from the site.

Is there anything that can be done at control level?

Zero pop-ups.

It could be malware running on your machine.

Assuming you are using MS windows It is malware which you can get by entering other sites, SR look to be a clean one (WOT ranking etc'), look in your add/remove (XP) or Programs and Features (Win7) applet of the control panel for anything suspicious like toolbars etc'

Try using another browser to make sure you don't have infected extensions or add-on, this I found to be the most common cause of malware recently.
However for Malehair I use soap and razor.

Get a copy of Malwarebytes or Spybot: search and destroy, do the updates and run it.

Even if you don't have anything dodgy, it doesn't turn to run it once-in-a-while anyway.

We don't have any pop-up advertising here... only the small Amazon & Google text ads...
