1980 whats available

Hi all. I am considering buying a birth year razor for myself so first quarter 1980 just wondering what DE razors were available then so that I know what to look out for.

I have a 1980 razor. It's the closest I have got to my birth year of 1983. I am satisfied 99% as its in the same era at least!

Crikey, even the GII and the Contour had been around for a bit then so you could even be really funky and shave with vintage cartridges!

I think it was Carl (Bechet) showing off his vintage cartridge razor collection the other day, very elegant they were too.

Thats true!

I'm a child of the sensor/sensor excel, the later being my first razor.

Sensor excel was my first razor. Had it free through the post when I was 15 I think. Most lads in my year got them and none of us new why. Came with a full pack of blades a small can of shave gel and a small aftershave gel aswell

Yup, I had one of those packs too just before I went off to Uni. Started out using a GII though in about 1987.
