1950's Ever-Ready Streamline

Well gentlemen i have road tested a 1950's Ever-Ready Streamline for a week now.

I used a Gem single edge Blade from Connaught Shaving and various soap's and cream's List as follows,

Mitchell's luxury shaving soap
Wilkinson sword soap (Blue tub)
Proraso cream (I found best suited to face lathering)
D.R. Harris Lavender cream
Palmolive cream
Taylor's Lavender cream

The blade i had in all week and i did not notice it getting dull, All shaves were 3 pass shaves (I have a medium type beard)

The razor is of medium weight and very easy to handle and maneuver, The shaving angle is different from your normal 30-45 degree's.
I found myself holding the razor virtually upright (Maybe 5-10 degree's), I applied no pressure to the razor and it glided over my skin no problem, i was very impressed with the fist pass,
And i can honestly say this weeks shaving has been bliss.

The razor can compete with any modern razor, I would recommend anybody who has one to give it a try,
In conclusion our forbears had this shaving lark down pat. :D
