True, also did that. 98mm total height, 49 handle, so 49 the loft.I find the easiest way with caliper is 1. measure the whole brush from top to bottom, 2. measure just handle. 3 subtract
Here it is, 49mm. The description stated 53 +- 1mm.

If this was a boar, wouldn't be such a problem, as I like my Semogue 620, with a 50mm loft. But the boar splays a lot, unlike this one. So although the fibers fell great, it's just too small, I'll probably end up trying to unglue it and set it a little higher.

Yay! 20%! The price hike discount thing is on over at Yaqi

I steamed out the knot in a Razorrock Synthetic a couple of years ago and the steam melted the glue that held the bristles together and all the bristles fell out.
Never had that problem with badger or boar knots using the same methid.
YaQi is selling brushes on Ebay as of now and the prices are a little over the top IMO. I see a Third Opium War on the horizon.
Looks like a middle seller has got into ebay. They'll take your order on ebay then walk down to the factory and pick up the items to sell at profit.YaQi is selling brushes on Ebay as of now and the prices are a little over the top IMO. I see a Third Opium War on the horizon.
I've purposely avoided shorter loft YaQi brushes due to the possibility of the glue bump making them unusableI have 4 Yaqi brushes and each one has near enough exact a loft which is 4mm shorter than advertised and a knot width 2mm wider.
2 of the brushes are great as they have reasonable glue bumps, and the other 2 have very large and significant ones to the extent where they aren't very pleasurable to use.
