I'm not sure how true this is.Apparently, these mixed hair brushes are made from the leftover hair after the expensive brushes are made.
Shave Lounge. Not sure.....but it looks to me as if two different vendors are giving a different perspective on the same brush. (I checked Amazon)
Cheers Brian,I have the 404 and I am not sure I would risk buying another one to find out. Personally I think they are the same. ES of course has an additional delivery charge which makes the difference £9.00..... just under the price I paid for my 404 ....delivered a few months back.
And an extra fiver, plus postage.Probably just mislabelled on the ES site.
Aaaaah but as you know......Simpson bought Vulfix. The Vulfix site has been taken down. I bought quite a few direct a few years back. Now they are found only as low end brushes on Vendor sites In this case I think it is a marketing ploy. Technically they are made by Simpson.....I believe Simpson still claim to be English made but all production was moved to the IOM where Vulfix was based. It's not even part of the UK!They look the same to me but can't see how ES can call it a Simpson if it's a Vulfix.
And an extra fiver, plus postage.
Now I'm even more confused as mine is a Vulfix and says "Made in England" on the handle.I believe Simpson still claim to be English made but all production was moved to the IOM where Vulfix was based. It's not even part of the UK!
D'oh missed that. Well they arent known as the "Harrods of shaving" for nothing you know
Not if you can buy the exact same brush for £9 less. It's still good value!
I like the Vulfix was just wondering if the Simpson was any better. It was the brush I got when I wanted a cheap one ,in case I did not carry on wet shaving. I have never felt I needed to change it, although I have wondered what a really good badger one would be like. Has anyone compared both?
