And for this evening the theme for this particular shave was 'A Grand day out and not so grand Grand hotels'

Conventional is not a word in my wife's book of life and hence due to unconventionalism my day started with me driving to Scarborough so that I could overnight in a different hotel. The words in and laws do have some input here. The hotel of choice being the inappropriately named, 'Grand'.
It may have been once but it certainly isn't now. The reception area being more Crufts and the rooms more Crofts.
After a very pleasant drive over from Liverpool; some jollification in the way of a comforting shave was very much a must more than a need.
The bathroom. Cats, dead and swinging do come to mind. Over flowing and toilet likewise.
The razor. A peach if ever. The Ikon SB is about as agressive as I could go. To me this is the sort of razor where the bristles fall out on a voluntary basis as it is a better option to commit barbicide than to be sliced by this vicious bastard. The weight of the handle not really making life as a Polsilver blade any easier. But, taking care and being of sound mind the results are first class. No nicks, no weepers, no irritation and a shave so fine it should be auctioned.
My obsession with OSP creams continues and the Shogun is another piece of their wonderful sense of scents. Lemongrass by the bucket full with overlays of ginger and chang thrown in for good measure. You could swear this was created after an evening in a Thai restaurant. Good job James hadn't been to Harry Rammsden's the evening before he dreamt this one up.
The brush? It is a Muhle. It is synthetic. It is Butterscotch in colour. It does a great job. A grand hotel tea cup serving well as a lathering implement. And makes wonderful black lemon tea after the Shogun
ADP because when life isn't so grand and Grand hotels likewise, it makes one feel a million dollars in a two dollar establishment. Certainly one of my favourites in the scent side of the cabinet.
So despite my evening starting as a judge in a 'best mutt competion' in the hotel reception at least I did end up as 'top dog' with a very perfectly groomed face.
Happy and bunnies
On an after note. I did end up changing rooms at 1030 at night when the bathroom was more paddling pool.
Oh hum. These things are sent to try us
