If you barely dip the very tip of the brush in water (once or twice) so you hardly see a ripple , then face lather, the lather will miraculously reappear
Ah well, it works for me, isn't the world of wet shaving wonderfully mystifying at times?I actually tried that this morning but it didn't work for me, had to go back to the puck. I've Googled the issue and its fairly common, I've seen it recommended not to soak the brush for longer than 1-2 minutes before the shave... Supposedly too long soaking = lather eater.
We'll see
In your honest opinion bm what would you say was the main differences between the semogue 2000 and the semogue oc?View attachment 26811 View attachment 26810 I thought some of us would find it intresting to check out each others boar brushes, so here is my currant line up starting with my re handled Omega 48, Omega 21762 Italian flag , Omega pro 49, Zenith B03 A26, Semouge Owners club ash handle, Semouge 2000, Proraso/ Omega re handled in ceramic, and last but not least my Semouge 1305.

I think the grades of Bristle in the OC is slightly better but apart from that there is not much in it, I love them both and the 2000 is fatter on the knot.In your honest opinion bm what would you say was the main differences between the semogue 2000 and the semogue oc?
I don't face lather but I'm sure there is enough backbone for it. Hopefully someone who does will pop in an let you know for sure.Heres a question for the brotherhood of the boar... How do you rate the SOC brushes for face lathering? I'm close to pulling the trigger but am worried it will be too floppy.
out of the 6 semogue brushes I have the 1470 is the best for face lathering I like the soc better for bowl lathering hope this helpsThanks Paul, its not a large outlay if it doesn't work out... I'm just smitten with that wood handle.
