Proof is certainly in the pudding and am looking forward to experiencing this razor.
I think this is very much "Horses for courses", I cant say the oil shave was any better or worse in quality, 6 hours later it feels pretty much how it felt with soap during the 3 passaround shaves I had, which for me were very good, it was the actual feel of the shave itself that differed and "Felt" more aggressive, even though when Alum block was applied post shave I had zero sting after 3 passes. This has made me have a bit of a quandary.
Is this machined and made to such tight tolerances that the difference in lather thickness or amount put on the face effects the shave?
I really don't know how to take this?
One one hand it shows epic design to be able to shave with just some lube, but, add some lather and the balde then fails to cut as close resulting in more passes and quicker regrowth?
I'm confused, is it a good thing or bad thing?
Is this the main reason for people stating a little more aggression is needed?
Just to say I haven't forgotten about this, one of those weekends where you feel in need of a weekend... I will supply one promise.Andrew @Hone - could you put up some photos of your own personal razor which is now 2 years old.?
@Nico1970 Thats awsome, thank you.I'll put some shaving oil in the pass around parcel...
In my blade drawer. I'll send you some. I bought too many before I discovered PolSilver and Voskhod.I think I need to try a Feather blade in the Hone... Where is the cheapest for a pack of 5?
Nah. Blades are not a worry, since Santa brought me 100 PolSilver. And I have almost 100 Voskhod and GEM SE blades and hundreds of injector blades and a box of this and that. I'm sorted.Oh Andrea's you sure? That's really good of you, I don't mind swapping a few?
