I've been using Palmolive classic cream since forever I rarely use anything else. I only use the sticks when away from home.

How does one tell its the Italian version? Is it marked made in Italy, or is it not that straightforward?I rattled around the back of the cupboard this morning and found my Italian version Palmolive classic cream. I bought it a year ago, and thought, "ho hum".
12 months more experience and a synthetic brush really changed my view of this cream. You need to be careful not to overwater it (it can collapse into soapy suds), but it really does a stirling job. And smells slightly fresher and brighter than the stick.
Ridiculous value. There's a certain irony that many of us (me included) spend so much on soaps given the performance that can be found for pittance. That said, I get a little dash of pleasure every morning from deciding which combination of brush, razor and soap/cream I put to use.

InterestingIn this case it was straightforward, as I bought it in Italy. However, it has a red tube rather than the more familiar olive green version.
It looks like this.
the Germany Aloe Vera version is also there and at £3.92 isn't quite as bad.
£12 for six (£2 each) is what I pay for my Palmolive cream at the moment, so that is a good deal, I may try the two for £6 to see if I like it.I found the Aloe Vera version on Ebay for 2 tubes for £6 and 6 tubes for £12 being the best deals, the latter in particular seems a great one.
Perhaps I'm not "sensitive" enough to use it!Going to Italy in August so I'll be looking out for these..........I note that the Aloe Vera version is branded as 'sensitive'.
I've found the Mint version on ebay but at £6.28 is slightly more than three times the price of the "UK" cream.the Germany Aloe Vera version is also there and at £3.92 isn't quite as bad.
I would strongly urge not using them; I certainly won't as I lost out on a bottle of Ogallala Bay Rum which I ordered from them and never received.BTW, Maguire's have the Menthol one for £3.25 before postage. A seller I'd be reluctant to use as they seemed to not have the best reputation here.
I emailed and received the following prompt reply
The green tube is a "refreshing" version, due to the mint extract present in the cream. On the other hand the red tube is the classic version, with extract of Aloe Vera which is providing more hydration and softness to the skin. Both creams are made in Italy.
This is interesting, however the box that my "green" classic came in clearly states "with Palm Extract" on the side, Not Mint Extract. I feel another email coming on!
